Guest guest
Hi, The Niacinamide is the non-flushing version of Niacin so you can take a pretty high dose without any problem. I take a multi and a B-complex daily with a total of 200mg of Niacinamide and it doesn't cause flushing. Guest guest
-- First of all. . . haven't been able to reply yet to say " congrats " . . .hope this starts a better chapter for you and Mallorie We use Kirkman's Everyday Hypoallergenic for a multi. They're very tiny capsules and we just " hide " them in applesauce or mayonnaise, but others open up the capsules and have good luck. We've also used Biotics Research Bio Glycozyme Forte which you can order at www.dcnutrition.com. We also use the Cal/Mag/Zinc II from Whole Life, 1-. You may want to experiment with other things down the road -- Vitamin E and C for anti-oxidants to help with free radicals from fats, digestive enzymes, etc. But for now, I'd keep it simple with these two. Good luck!!!--D --- joeycmiller@... wrote: > Vitamins - which brand for multi vites? > I have had the best luck using something that comes > in a powder or capsule form that I can mix with > liquid. Guest guest
Can anyone tell me whether the vitamin from Trader Joe's can be swallowed whole and also the calcium from Kaiser. I am worried about them getting stuck but I have a problem swallowing them cut in half. the edges seem sharp and hurt my throat? Guest guest
Ramona, I've heard that nothing bigger than an M & M is what we're supposed to aim for. But you're so newly pre-op, I'd check with your doctor. Or...crush them and put them in unsweetened applesauce maybe? I don't know specifically about the Calcium from Kaiser, but I do know that we're supposed to take Calcium Citrate, not Calcium Carbonate, because of the absorption issue. Laurie W. Guest guest
HI, With the Chewable vitamins you have to be careful because you need to make sure you are getting enough vitamins because the dose that is recommended on the bottle is not enough for our needs. Kaiser recommends the mega-vitamins because we need to take twice as much vitamins because of our surgery. Ramona -- Re: Vitamins Cool!!! I always wanted a reason to take Flintstones!!
