Guest guest
Dear All, I have a mild case of bleeding problems...ITP (Immune thrombocytopenia) so I cannot take advil or aspirin or ibuprofen. Tylenol was the only thing I could take until Vioxx and Celebrex. I don't know how they impact bleeding itself, but Vioxx and Celebrex don't affect platelets per se. This is why I'm able to take those two things, and my doctor monitors my platelets. Perhaps they do affect bleeding, but I don't know about this. Yes, this is definitely something I have to take up with any surgeon, since they have to know about potential platelet problems anyway. Pearlz, is this your situation, too?
