Guest guest
On top of everything else, I've been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my hands, particularly the joint in the base of my right thumb (along with carpal tunnel and tendonitis in my wrist and elbow and radial tunnel in my forearm). This is so frustrating, because I gave up all my beloved athletic hobbies when I developed severe neuropathy because of a lumbar spinal cord injury, and replaced them all with hobbies I could do while sitting still - crochet, beading, embroidery, sewing. Now I'm having to give all that up too! Argh!!! Anyway, here's my question for those of you who have struggled with arthritis in your hands before: Is heat or ice better? Heat feels good, but I'm afraid I'm increasing the inflammation that way and would be better off with ice. Any insight? Thanks, Cheryl in AZ Moderator
