The driver forces our hand by trying to take out traffic head on - by going the wrong way down the road. About an hour after it all starts, he blows a red light - stops, and procedes to shoot and kill himself. Not been a good day for us, worse for his home department, and even worse for his family. --------- Muskegon police officer takes own life (Update: Alpine Township, March 20, 2006, 12:43 p.m.) http://www.woodtv.com Muskegon Police Officer Stier shot himself Monday morning after leading police on a high-speed chase on Alpine Avenue.
