I hadn't heard this. When dealing with computer technology I can't see anybody suing for something like this. I am sure this may be one of those rumors that get started. Somebody got mad for not being able to access the site. I know I tried and tried. I even tried after the surgery for the questions/interview session following the surgery. I wrote the site and they just apologized for me not being able to enter the site. Rae

Guest guest
Hi All, I actually went back and watched the stream vid of the operation, and was pleased with the results that I found. The interior video image was not Carnie due to the ability for the doctor to keep full concentration on the surgery, give Carnie a bit of privacy and to be able to get good camera angle when needed. There WAS footage of the surgical area and the team of doctors who worked on Carnie, was simulcast with footage that had already been shot of another patients internal footage. There is no reason that anyone who wanted to see the footage could not go to the site and get it either to download or to see on G2 or RealPlayer.Whoop-ti-doo they did not see it right then, good grief if someone is going to start a ruckus about that then they have too much time on their hands!!!! If you have any more questions let me know. Guest guest
Hey Paige: Well, my friends and I tried to get on the site for the entire operation from all over the coountry and none of us could, so consider yourself lucky! But I figured, who cares when we have Dr R's video on his site all of the time! I agree, certainly not a legal issue unless you paid to see it Stevie -- > > > > Hi All, > I actually went back and watched the stream vid of the operation, and was > pleased with the results that I found. I had written to the site and they replied they had gotten a lot of email from people that access the procedure. I just wrote to see what I might have done wrong when trying to enter so I would know next time. I basically think they had a lot of Internet traffic. I kept getting the error message to enter a password, but the person that wrote me back said I didn't need one. Oh well...better luck next time. Guest guest
Rae, If you are still interested in teh surgery, go to the website I think it is www.adoctorinyourhouse.com and they have an archived version on video of the procedure. It is kind of boring, but I just let it play while I did other things and then payed attention when there was something I really wanted to SEE. It is a long piece but it does have other info that is interesting and since it is (Dr R correct me if I am wrong)the same procedure it gives a little info on the tools used and such. Since I am a why person this fascinated me, but I would expect others of us would rather not know LOL Hope this is helpful, Paige >From: GRL1DR@... >Reply-To: MiniGastricBypassonelist >To: MiniGastricBypassonelist >Subject: Re: FW: [OSSG] Carney >Date: Wed, 18 Aug 1999 14:31:38 EDT > >From: GRL1DR@... > >In a message dated 8/18/99 8:20:55 AM Central Daylight Time, >stevie@... writes: > ><< Hey Paige: > Well, my friends and I tried to get on the site for the entire operation >from > all over the coountry and none of us could, so consider yourself lucky! >But I > figured, who cares when we have Dr R's video on his site all of the time! > I agree, certainly not a legal issue unless you paid to see it > > Stevie >> > >Good point Stevie!
