Guest guest
: I am not forgetting about you. This one takes a bit of explaining.....ready.....We had been on Pheno, Primidone, Valproic Acid, Depakote (for very long time), Lamictal (got a rash, night seizures), Clobazam(went crazy) and had been on the Keto Diet for 9 months. Started seizing at 14 months-still seizing-actually each med made it worse at 6 1/2 years old. Got referred for a surgical consult-couldn't sleep-had been reading an experience of another family going thru surgery-so we tried a live blood cell analysis. Did a search on the internet-half of the web-sites said it wasn't accurate-half said yes. So we went in. It was really a wonderful experience for us. Now don't do this because it worked for us, because if it doesn't work I will DIE!! We were told that our son had a sodium deficiency-I was giving B-6 with Potassium. She changed our B's to Spirulina (a Nature's Sunshine Products) added strange items like Herbal Pumpkin and Marshmallow and Pepsin. We were told that our son had extremelly high yeast so we added Acidoliphus. Came out 150.00 poorer and in 5 days he went seizure free. But I must tell you that he had a seizure on Saturday-due to the School!! & *%#$ He was seizure free from March 6, 2001 till May 5, 2002 and I am very sad.... He has never been healthier. He suffered from Strep Throat for years and the Nutritional Councellor gave us these herbal products that we squirt into his mouth and he has not had antibiotics for over 6 months-for him that is amazing. This is our story............again for some of you ((-: Diane herbs for seizures Has anyone tried this for their childs seizures? ========================================================== Antispasmodic Tincture -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.herbsfirst.com/discriptions/antisp.html Antispasmodic Tincture: Skullcap herb, Lobelia, Cayenne, Valerian Root, Skunk Cabbage, Myrrh Gum and Black Cohosh. Available in tincture. To be used in cases of apoplexy, convulsions, croup, fainting, cramps, delirium, tremors, hysteria, etc., also good for pyorrhea, mouth sores, coughs, throat infections, tonsillitis, etc. Use 1/2 to one teaspoon in a glass of distilled water as a gargle, and use until throat clears, also take one teaspoon in distilled water morning and evening. Cough: It is very beneficial to massage the chest and across the back with antispasmodic tincture and to take six drops or more of the antispasmodic tincture several times each hour with a little distilled water. Earache: Place a few drops of tincture of lobelia (warmed) into each ear and plug with cotton. Substitute antispasmodic tincture or Black Cohosh Tincture Combination [b & BTincture] if needed. Hiccoughs: A few drops of antispasmodic tincture taken internally and rubbed on the chest area will often bring relief. Indigestion: Peppermint tea can soothe the digestive tract and eliminate gas. Add six to ten drops of lobelia or antispasmodic tincture. Babies Convulsions: For baby convulsions, place a drop or two of the tincture on the tip of a clean finger and place it in the baby's mouth. This should stop the spasms immediately. Rheumatism: The antispasmodic tincture is often applied externally for swellings and rheumatism. Testimonials Epilepsy: I just received your newsletter, and in reading the information on epilepsy I found that you didn't mention your antispasmodic tincture. I have epilepsy and have followed your program with the B & B tincture and oil of garlic and I'm sure this is effective over a period of time; but the antispasmodic tincture will stop the seizure in the process. I have used it successfully--even during home childbirth. This is a very good test, as epileptics could tell you, as childbirth always causes seizures. I have also given the tincture to a friend for her baby. They had just spent almost $1,000 on tests and medication the " AMA Way " and were having no success in stopping the seizures. They say this tincture has changed their lives. Having experienced epileptic seizures, I know that is no exaggeration. Croup and Coughing: I'm very interested in learning more about herbs and one day studying it so I would feet more confident using them as I do, medicinally. I've used lobelia tincture for my son's teething problems and on insect bites and rubbing on body for fever, etc. I've used antispasmodic tincture for his croup and coughing. It works great!! Guest guest
Diane, This is interesting to me because this past winter Karly was in the hospital for dehydration and after getting the fluids she has sz free for a short period. I questioned if it was due to possibility her electrolytes were messed up and the fluids helped in some way. Anyway..... so you were switched to the spirulina for the added sodium which your son needed? It is interesting. Spirulina is a exceptional nutrient with so many wonderful things. ======================= We were told that our son had a sodium deficiency-I was giving B-6 with Potassium.
