Guest guest
Hi , I have a sister in SC who's child was just diagnosed with PDD-NOS. He's 2.5 too. She's legally blind and is getting tons of help, (thank GOODNESS) including a 40-hr-a-week ABA program. Try this site: www.senteacher.org There a link to " Drawing for Children " there -- the full program. It's FREE! It's one of Boone's favorites. There's also tons of other stuff you can use. It's specific to autism, so you can just go crazy there. Everything on the site should interest a hyperlexic kid. I love it. Welcome to the list! It's the best one on the internet. Guest guest
Hello...My name is . I am new to the group. My family and I live in South Carolina. My 2 1/2 year old son, Jake, was just diagnosed with Autism. I am now in the process of getting everything lined up for home based therapy, applying for TEFRA and just basically getting my bearings straight. I have been lurking for a couple of days and I have found the posts very comforting. Sissi: I really enjoyed the websites on your children, especially Boone's. I see many similarities between Jake and Boone. Jake is counting to 30 and can identify the numbers by site, also saying the numbers backwards. He knows his ABCs by sight and sound, can say them backwards and is beginning to write letters, really on his own without any direction from me or his father. I bought him a magna doodle and he is starting to draw . The numbers and ABCs are really the only things he says. He can say birdie, cat, cow and bye-bye. Sometimes he just runs around reciting numbers and ABCs...he is truly obsessed. Anyway...since he is now drawing pictures, I would like to know what software you started out with for Boone. I think the graphic art stuff would really intrigue Jake. I hope to get to know many of you on this list and BEST WISHES to us all! Guest guest
Lindsey, Don't get discouraged. I'm trying not too. My beta came back 2, and I think I had a early miscarriage or chemical pg. My sister who is a nurse says I should have another test done since I am still having symptoms of pg. (even if its just to see if #'s are back at 0) My temps stayed up for a few days more after the +hpt, but dropped a few days ago. Just to give you some info- tube lengths are R-6.5, L-5, TR 11-15-01, I've had 3 m/c's since reversal. So right now I am taking this cycle as a no go, and on to this next one. I know how hard this whole TTC thing is, and I just have to tell myself its going to happen even if it takes me forever(or until menopause) Keep your chin up! Guest guest
I'm STILL waiting for this mystery person who is so overworked to identify him/her/itself. I work one job, own my home on 100 acres, drive a new pick-up, my wife has an almost new pick-up, have insurance and a decent retirement plan. At the very least you should identify yourself. Anonymous posters have less credibility that horse exhaust. If you think your words have any meaning at all, have the guts to identify yourself. Or else shut up and go away. Guest guest
Welcome and Makenna, Isnt it great how we are all being led to this group and it is growing by the day?Maybe we really can let the world know about CHARGE!. My daughter also had the cleft lip & pallet.I grew to love her with that not repaired. She was too ill to have it fixed at first,For a year I knew her with that and always took her out in public,walmart,etc..I was just so happy she lived I didnt care about that. I had a baby finally at home. It was trivial in the whole health matter....I remember the eve before her lip repair I almost didnt want her to change.wow if that isnt something about the real meaning of life... Welcome. My daughter is Mandy, 11, and doing good..... Happy Easter to you and your family. Recruite the new mom It may take her a bit....alot to take in....then seeing all of us on the web sharing in our joys..I was pretty mad for some time in the beginning... then I grew up!!!!! Our best to your family. Diane,Mandy,Haley,Joe, Illinois
