Guest guest
I'm giving you what happened to me, NOT diagnosing, OK? Besides telling you to call your doc, of course, I had this happen a couple of times pre & post-op. I thought it was a heart attack for sure. Numb painful left arm, pain in left chest, scary stuff. My doc said it was a gas bubble caught between the something & the diaphragm. I took anti-gas (simethicone) for it and it worked! It really worked! But if that doesn't work within an hour, call your doc right away. Even if it's midnight. That's why he gets the Big Bucks. Don't be brave! Be safe! We've sort of gotten attached to you! *** Please reply to me at: vitalady@... *** Thanks, www.vitalady.com Gas PAins > Hey gang, I have a question. Guest guest
Bob-- I've experienced that same type of pain that you described. My unfortunate experience was on one of those Sr Citizens' bus trips from Binghamton NY to Bethlehem PA to view the Christmas lights. They fed us a not so gourmet meal in a so called fancy hotel and I thought I had taken care of all the no-nos by refusing the gravy, butter, etc. Well, guess I missed something--along with the lights. I spent a good chunk of the trip in the Bethlehem visitors' center with the most horrible pain, just as you described. One of the workers in the center fed me 6 Gas-X tablets. Needless to say, I tooted the entire trip back to Binghamton--at least they were odor free and buried in the seat. I finally started to feel better about an hour away from home. Don't know what caused it, but I guess I'm still new enough to this to still miss things occassionally. Oh well! Take care. --El
Guest guest
Hiya Bob.. Did this little session last about 10 minutes from the first note of a tightening until it faded away?
