When I was first diagnosed with Dermatomyositis in l993 I was told I had a positive SM antibody but all liver tests were normal at that time. In 2000 when I was diagnosed with PSC, the liver biopsy showed some inflammation but no other problem except PSC. My gastro locally is planning to check blood again in 1 mo. and if still fluctuating will do another biopsy. I am concerned about possibly being around people but I didn't see any precautions in the articles you referred me to. Again thank you so much, I didn't understand some of it but what I did helped me to know I probably will have to put up with the side effects of Pred-nisone to get this in remission. Martha from Mo.
