Guest guest
, Thank you so much for the prayers. He seems to be doing ok. He's abit grumpy, but I know that's due to his heart attack and not being abole to work right now. Once he has his stress test and knows approximately when he can return to work, he should be better. Am staying in AZ as long as I can with him. His daughter is in college and not living at home and only has his 16 year old son living with him. And he is a bit nervous. My mom came and got my kids so they could return to school and my job was very understanding and has given me as much time as I need. Thanks again. Hugs, pam > Pam, I am so sorry to hear of the heart attack! Thank God he is OK! Guest guest
Yes Donna, she survived to continue to terrorize me. I think she thinks that's her purpose in life. I've told her she's lucky she's lived this long. There were days I seriously had my doubts. But, she is my oldest and I've learned a lot from her as well. She's a great kid really. Will admit, it's probably the most scared I've ever been. Couldn't imagine loosing one of my children. God has blessed me with my and my future step children. And I want more. God willing. Guest guest
Just lookin at the thread ( my emails don't come in order LOL so i get lost ) what is it with tonsils. My youngest had his removed almost 2 years ago and altho I wasn't there i was talkin to them every other day. He had the same problem they kept spontaneously bleeding for almost a month afterwards. Not being there I didn't get to talk to the doctor so not sure why and didnt get to throw any suggestions. But I know this child lives to scare me! Hes so tiny still and altho was the healthiest baby has had the most health problems since. Re: Pam Yes Donna, she survived to continue to terrorize me. I think she thinks that's her purpose in life. Guest guest
The doc that did Kim's tonsils said there is a 1 in 100 chance of hemmoraging after tonsilectomy. Apparently, Kim's left tonsil pole split and caused the hemmorage, she lost 2 pints of blood and was rushed into emergency surgery to stop the bleeding. She was 16 at the time and that made it worse on her. The older you are the worse it is on you. She was a sick puppy for a while and scared to death to eat for a while. She lost 29 pounds before she gained any confidence to eat once again. Her best friend just had his out last month and was back in the hospital for severe dehydration within 5 days. He was 18. Anyone mentions getting their tonsils out around her and she will look at them in a panick and say " PLease Don't " . I can't say that I blame the child. Now, she is perfectly healthy and doing great. Just something she won't ever forget. pam > > I went through the same thing with my now 14 year old, when she was > 8 she had > > her tonsils removed and 8 days later she almost bled to death and > was rushed > > back into surgery,it is scarey but we always make it through! Guest guest
Donna, You are gonna laugh your tail off when I tell you this. My soon to be DH and I were chasing each other around the bedroom yesterday afternoon and he lundged at me to try and catch me and when I jumped ot avoid being caught, I kicked the dresser corner with my left foot. We heard something crack and in about 20 minutes time my foot was black and blue, swollen and hurting quite a bit. So...off to the ER we went. Verdict....Broken foot. Now in a cast and on crutches. Now that you guys are all laughing, and I'm sufficently embarrassed, but hey....Now, I'm getting waited on hand and foot and am getting dinner cooked for me by soon to be DH. Soon to be step DS & DD are teasing us unmercifully about it. Live and learn...Been staying off it as much as possible. When not sleeping due to Vicodin for pain, I've been on the couch most of the day with foot propped up. My soon to be DD did go to the store and buy me some yarn so I could start crocheting. I hobble over here to the computer to check postings. Have a great evening, ladies. Guest guest
I made them for my daycare kids a couple years ago. I put their names on them with fabric paint and some decorations. Every one of them still uses them. Pam Pam, I have tried different things to raise the money. So far nothing else has worked out very well. I guess I was thinking of the Bible verse that asks what we have in our hands. Well I have a stash of material that I had no idea what I what going to do with. I have been finding different apron patterns at yard sales. I really wanted to make my granddaughter one for Christmas. I have figured out how to do it without a pattern and that will be my first one. I have got a selection of cookie cutters to go with it. Someone on the other group was talking about being frugal and one way was to wear an apron to help save wear and tear on their clothes. I was chicken about mentioning my idea of making apron but I did it anyway. I was very surprised and plesed at the response. It has really lifted my spirtis and I am able to do things to day that I have been wanting to for months but just couldn't get going at. Hugs, Dorene > > Ladies, > > I am on a frugal group. Guest guest
Doreen, Never be afraid to mention something. Girl, you will find you have talents exclusive only to you. I have a bunch of material pieces from my great grandmother to quilt with but don't have the heart to use them because I'm afraid I'll screw it up big time. I can do counted cross stitch and crochet afagans, that's it. I have no other artist talents. You're apparently blessed with the ability to sew. Hon, I'm lucky to be able to sew on a button. No joke. We're here to support and encourage you no matter what you try. Remember that. What else are friends for? Go forth and create. And if you can make some money for it. Then you have a true God given talent. Self confidence girl...keep telling yourself I'm good at this and others should see how good you are. Hugs, pam > > > Ladies, > > > I am on a frugal group.
