I had a laproscopy surgery in 2001 to scrape it out and now started having symptoms again. Caitlin: I know I replied to another post but the Lupron (dried up the endometrosis) saved my life and pain . Endometriosis is not known for getting better on its own but worse unless you have children or go through menopause. It tends to come back and has to be treated accordingly. It is one of the worst pains I have ever experienced and I used to curl up in a ball in the floor and cry for hours. My husband couldn't believe a menstrual cycle could be that bad and I thanked God when I found my endometreosis specialist that treated me. I said it feels as if you had someone ripping your uterus out or bicycle scrapes inside your uterus. He saved my life, helped me have a son, and then treated me accordingly with medication and finally a hysterectomy. My case was so advanced, after nine laproscopes, four d & c's, myomectomy, and other medication therapies, a hysterectomy was a blessing. Please check into using Lupron to help your condition. Let us know how you are doing. Bennie
Guest guest
Goodness Bennie, I'm so sorry you had to go through all the with your endometreosis. I'm doing better now that my period is over but my Gyno canceled the appt. we had due to an emergency and I can't go back until the 20th. UGH! Coincidently, my SI joint went out and something is going on with my mid/ lower back. It literally feels like something exploded back there, as I could hardly move since last Tues. As luck would have it, our deductibles have gone up this year and I'm dreading paying that to get another MRI done. But I might just have to if the pain doesn't let up soon. But at least I can put my own socks and shoes on now. No one could believe I was going to work last week when I couldn't move, but life goes on and I only missed 4 hrs total! I have to save those hours up in case of extreme emergency, as I'm sure you all can understand. Sometimes I feel like super women working through all this pain!!! And this is the first week of classed back at the University so this is the busiest time of the year for me. Such is life. I get to take a fun class this semester, Social Work Policy. Something to look forward to! Thanks Bennie. I'll remember all this info and talk to my Gyno about it. I have to admit that the topic doesn't sound like " fun " to me, but I'm not the one taking it! <smile> Different strokes, as they say! My " fun " classes were usually literature courses. I should have been a book editor. Cheryl in AZ Moderator
Guest guest
Well, I meant fun as opposed to Algebra or Spanish which I'm horrible at. But I went today and we have to do 6 LONG papers and 2 class presentations. Wow, I just hope I am up for all that! We do get to go to the State Legislature and watch them try and pass a bill. Maybe that will be interesting? Caitlin I'm glad you're looking forward to this class, Caitlin! That's cool.
