Guest guest
Thanks so much for the article on depression and being chronically ill. "Right on". This D.D. can mess up more than your health. But really........ people are so messed up with their prioroities and their beliefs on judging if someone is sick or not, that they don't know how to treat a family member when they get sick. From strangers, to family and even doctors, we are still often told it is in our heads. Boy can that escerbate [sp?] the depression... And all the people I mentioned, often do not understand how the physical affects the mental. We are still in a world that believes one can just "snap out of it - think positive, you are sick because you need more exercise or you are sick because you aren't positive enough....." blah blah... as you sit there feeling like you *are* dieing because you *are* so sick., and then you realize; I need this cr-p from other people, like I need a hole in my head...." lol! And gee you also realize when you have been sick for sooo many years, what things *don't* work for you. Not all families are this way of course, but there seem to be an awful lot of us with this problem. It is just so... inhumane, when one is already dealing with this, to have added slaps in the face by people. :-Þ Ok - off my soapbox now. :-) <VBG> gentle hugs, li "You must be careful how you walk and where you go;for there are those following youwho will set their feet where yours are set."~ E.
