I guess my question, which is what I

posed to my Docs (they have yet to answer), is “What will it help?”. I understand why some form of Urso

is so frequently prescribed for PSC patients pre-Tx. But even then there is no evidence that it is effective

in slowing or stopping the progression of the disease. As we discussed here

recently, not even Dr. Lindor, arguably the foremost

authority on its use, holds Urso to be an effective

treatment for PSC, despite the fact that it results in improvements in liver

function test values. Aside from the issue of expense, I have no wish to take

any more medication than I have to. If my PSC returns once again, I will

happily start taking Urso again, but in the meantime

I will campaign my Docs for it to be discontinued.
