Guest guest
Alessia, It sounds to me like a grand mal seizure. Both of my daughters have had grand mals. Their bodies stiffen up and shake all over and their eyes roll back in their head. When I was a child, I remember having tremors after being weaned from the phenobarbitol and it would always begin in my right hand and radiate up my arm, but by that time, I think I was past the grand mal seizure stage. Maybe my brain was mature enough that it didn't go completely into a seizure, or it could have been that I just knew by then how to stay calm when it happened so that it didn't progress. It's possible that since your daughter is still so young, her anticipation of the seizure coming and her anxiety could be making it worse. Is there any other medication that she can be treated with?
