okay all.. one of the Ladies that i do at our salon brought this to my

attention.. she had already heard this on the news and knowing jerry was

going thru panc problems she happened across this article (of course it was

in an infamous scandal sheet) but what if its true?? could it be a possible

celebrity link???? parkingsons has micheal J fox..

FRIENDS " star -- hospitalized as the result of an extreme diet

-- was rocked by a terrifying cancer scare.

HE'S HAPPY! Matt gives the thumbs-up to his new lease on life -- and a fat

new contract.

While doctors treated him for dehydration and other diet-related problems,

the actor began experiencing crushing abdominal pains. Immediately everyone

feared the worst -- but it turned out to be pancreatitis, an inflammation of

the pancreas.

Meanwhile, Matt's fellow cast members went through their own agony -- fearing

the likeable star had cancer.

" Any time the pancreas is involved, often the first thought is cancer, " said

a close source. " Matt was one sick puppy when he landed in Cedars-Sinai

Medical Center. Initially everyone thought he needed only hydration and a

good rest.

" But as the days went by, Matt showed no sign of improvement. Finally,

further tests indicated his pancreas was inflamed.

" He was treated with intravenous antibiotics and pain medicine and slowly he

began to respond. "

Doctors say a high-protein, high-fat diet like Matt's can increase the risk

of gastrointestinal conditions including pancreatitis.

JENNIFER'S HAPPY!

" Right now the 'Friends' camp is heaving a huge sigh of relief, " divulged an

insider. " Matt really gave them quite a scare.

" Matt's health crisis reached its peak just as salary negotiations between

the cast, Warner Bros. Television and NBC was at its most frenzied.

" The 'Friends' gang were rallying behind Matt as hard as they were pushing

for their new $750,000-per-episode salary.

" Matt was in the hospital a week, and he was just starting to feel better

when the 'Friends' cast reached its eleventh-hour breakthrough at midnight on

Saturday, May 13.

" Now they have two reasons to jump for joy -- Matt's health is better and

they've got the highest paying acting contract on TV.

" Aniston had blamed herself for encouraging Matt to go on the strict

diet. She told a pal, 'The whole week was a nightmare. Matt was in the

hospital and negotiations for the next two years of our lives were on the

line.'

" When the cast visited an on-the-mend Matt shortly after the new contract was

signed, he weakly joked, 'What were you guys trying to do, kill me?'

" A relieved kidded back, 'That phony sick ploy of yours worked -- we

got our deal!' "
