That's so eerie Tina. Why don't you start by talking to your landlord?

Maybe she's heard similar stories from other tenants or knows the

history of the building? My husband manages a rental property for his

father and the current tenants have reported that they think the house

is haunted. So your landlord might have gotten similar reports from

tenants.

Sounds like whatever it is, it's trying to get your attention ... or

it's being mischevious. You can try talking to it. Ask it why it's

there? Set the heat back to where you want and then say " 60 is too

cold, please leave it at XX degrees " . Ask it to return the remote.

Hope it's not freaking you guys out too badly.

I think my apartment is haunted.-OT

I don't know how many of you believe in ghosts but I do and I'm

beginning to think we have one in our apartment. It started this

weekend when I was there alone with Mark. After he went to bed and

everything was shut off and quite and I was on the computer I kept

hearing things. But I blew it off thinking I was imagining it. Then

when I went to shut off my computer I KNOW I shut it down and that it

was off. I went into the other room and came back and it was back

on. So then I thought maybe my computer is acting funny.

But last night saw a ghost when he came to bed. He said when

he came to bed he saw a white figure the size of the child walk

around the front of our bed and then walk out the door. He tried to

follow it but then saw nothing. Then in the middle of the night

something tore the blankets off of us while we were sleeping and Mark

was still in his bed. Later in the night woke up because

something touched him. It wasn't me because I was still sleeping and

Mark was still in his bed.

When we talked this morning I said this would explain some of the

strange things happening around here that we can't explain. Like the

VCR remote disappearing. At first I thought maybe Mark took it but

it is nowhere to be found. And someone or something keeps turning

our heat way down to 60 degrees. At first we thought the sitter was

doing this but that still doesn't explain the days this happens and

the sitter isn't even there, and we know neither one of us changed it.

I don't know but it makes me wonder. Especially because saw

that white figure of a child. I do know that our apartment building

is an old school house. I wonder if there is any way to find the

history of this building to see if a child ever died in it. That

would expain a lot.

For anyone who doesn't believe in ghosts please don't think I'm

crazy! ;-)

So far it seems to be except playing hiding games with us. But I

don't like it pulling the blankets off the bed when we are sleeping.

Good thing I have a waterbed and it's heated!

It's not freaking me out at all. Actually I love it!!! As weird as

that may sound. But I think is a little freaked by it. I said

I wanted to bring a weegi (Cant't for the life if me remember how to

spell that word) board into the house to see if we can communicate

with it but said no way.

I used to live in a different house that was haunted and we would

talk to the ghost to get our things back and it worked. I will have

to try that route with this one.

I will talk to the landlord to see what she says, and maybe ask some

of the other neighbors if they experience anything. It would be

really neat to find the history of the building though!

I definitely believe in ghosts and such. How about you leave a piece of

paper and a crayon on the table and ask for a picture or something? I agree

with talking to it, and trying to find out what it wants. Doesn't sound

like a harmful ghost, just a playful one. :-) there's got to be a way of

finding out about the history of the building. Maybe go to the Hall of

Records or something. I also agree with talking to the landlord.
