Dear Virginia:

So sorry if I offended you in telling you about my days at Mass General. I just thought some of you, who are my friends, would like to know what is going on.

I won't post anymore about it.

We are here for your support and many of us wonder how you do it all! I think

it is good for you to express your thoughts on this list, it is about

supporting each other.

If it offends someone, that is what the delete button is for ! :)

Oh, Trish, please don't misunderstand me. I meant that it sounded so exhausting to experience what you went through. I was trying to empathize, not criticize. I would not want to hurt you or anyone, especially not all of the families who are all suffering through these mito-related experiences. I am so very sorry. Please forgive me. I promise that I did not mean to offend or hurt. Please keep posting and participating, and I will try to be more diligent about how I respond so that I am clearer. I don't know if it is sleep deprivation, stress or frantic holidays, but I am really sorry.

Have a good day.

Trish,

Your sharing is very helpful to me. We all handle our cares with our children in different ways. Some find it difficult, at best, and life for many on and off this list...is very discouraging, at times. If it were not for the connection and sharing through this platform, many of us would feel extraordinarily isolated. We can 'choose' that which we wish to read and that which we don't by simply 'deleting.' However, 'deleting' the email doesn't eliminate the needs of those who wish to express their feelings or those who care to read them. I am listening and I am not alone...

Dear :

I think it has been straightened out. I probably read message wrong or I

was just too sensitive that day because I am so stressed. Everything is

fine.....I already posted to Virginia.....I am sure she didn't mean to hurt

me....I must have interpreted it wrong. All is well.

Love, Trish

Dear :

Thank you. I want to share some of the things that happen to me, but sometimes I hesitate because I don't want to take any time away from the very sick children that are on this list. It must be horrible to have such sick children and have to watch your little ones go through so much. My heart goes out to all parents here and all the little ones.

I am here for you too....and for anyone who needs an ear from me.....I will listen to anyone who wants to vent....after all that's what we are here for.

regards, Trish

Trish, I do think we all cling to this list because it is as though all of us know just what the others are feeling since we are experiencing the same kinds of things. No one else in the outside world seems to really know what it is like to be on this roller coaster. I appreciate hearing about everyone's experiences and the bad and good things. I am glad that all is okay; as I said, I would NEVER, EVER want to hurt you or anyone with an insensitive comment. Thank you for forgiving me for my poor word choice.

Dear All:

It's been interesting reading about the misinterpretations of what is

written. But I am also so glad to see that every one is explaining

what they were meaning and every one is so accepting of everyone and what

they have to say. The reason I am fascinated by this is because I

said some thing to a friend over the phone about some suggestions when

they had a baby. This was after I had two kids and had been

babysitting for oh about twenty some years. But she didn't like what

I said and it was interesting that our letters passed each other in the

mail. Me apologizing for what I said and not to tell her what to

do and hers yelling at me and she hasn't ever really accepted my apology.

I still write her, but she doesn't write except may be once ayear.

So I'm glad you are all accepting each others apologies and wanting to

make amends. That is so cool. I know I look forward to seeing

what people have to say in this support group. It is the first thing

I try to do in the morning as the kids are eating their breakfast and before

Leah gets up. Some of you really brighten my day and I've learned

so much regarding this disease. Thank you.

mom to Leah 2 1/2 and she used a walker for the first time.

Boy was she mad in trying it, but she moved it several feet. I tell

you, M & M's are a good motivator.

Dear Virginia:

I am glad that we are friends and I, too, am sorry if I misunderstood.

Stress does so much to a person.....and you know that firsthand, as do I. I sure wish this mito disease could get cured so that so many adults and children didn' t have to suffer.

I wish all the best to you and your family and I will not leave this list just because of a small misunderstanding......I treasure my friends here too much.

Love, Trish
