Oh Jeannette! How scary for all of you. was on one med that

caused absence seizures. Perhaps it is medication related for you

and that can be resolved I hope. I'm soooo sorry to hear that ph

is seizing. I pray for a safe and uneventful day for you all.

No more denial. ph is seizing.. I need

prayers

Hello folks

I have been quick to negate a set of symptoms ph is having

because they were not a typical seizure. Last night at the supper

table, he went blank, turned red and then caught his breath and

backed up at the same time as if he was just jolted back to his

body. It was the scariest thing I have encountered in a while. I

have just left a message with the Neurologist and I have to travel

over an hour away today to make a BIG sales presentation.. I am

afraid to leave the area.. no beeper, no cell phone.

I will follow up with more details and info when I get them, but

PLEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAZZZ,, I need your prayers. I am terrified,

and have had noone to talk to just to get the emotions out.

Pray for me

Lots of prayers coming your way, Jeanette. (((((((((Hugs))))))))))

I know how incredibly frightening seizures can be but there are a few

things to remember that might help ease your concern a bit. Seizures

are rarely life threatening. Especially brief seizures. Unless a

seizure lasts over 5 - 7 minutes for a grand mal or 15 for a complex

partial, I was always told there was no need to take my son to the

hospital. I don't know if you live in the US or not but if you do,

the Epilepsy Foundation has been a great source of information.

Seizures also don't cause brain damage unless the child stops

breathing for more than 4 minutes. It's the lack of oxygen not the

seizure that causes the damage.

I hope everything is okay.

Jeanette -

I am praying. We went through this over the summer with Bobby. The poor

babysitter was beside herself and so was I by the time we were all done with the

neurologist appointments and had everything confirmed. You can email me directly

if you want to chat. I know others on this list have kids have a seizure

disorder. I'm here. Katrina ----- KatMoody@...
