Guest guest Posted July 24, 2003 Report Share Posted July 24, 2003 Hi If anyone in central WI has has LAP RNY could you please give me your surgeon's name-- unless you wouldn't recommend him! I was all set to go- approved by insurance- THEN politics reared its ugly head- The surgeon I had was with Marshfield Clinic and the facility I had was Wausau Hosp. Well- Wausau Hospital is refusing to sign the contract with my insurance company- which allows them to be in their area or wahtnot....so basically my approval changed from 100% approved to 100% approved- if I can get a date by 8/15. Which I can't. SO I have 2 new choices. I have to resubmit to ins for approval with the same surgeon at that hospital but do it as a an out of their area thing so they will still pay- and they don't readily approve those. Or look in to seeing about a new surgeon, which will make my ins approval stand, but the surgeon may require other things---either way it is bound to drag on and on.....any suggestion would be great. this is SO not cool.
