I wanted to let you know that there are members in this group who have gotten Ashermans as a result of a myomectomy. If you look at the profile list, you will find these members. The best diagnosis of ashermans is an HSG or hysteroscopy. I have not heard of an MRI being for the diagnosis. If you have mild Ashermans, then an HSG has seemed to break through the mild adhesions and in many cases, the patients have managed to resume menses after this procedure. So, I would recommend an HSG first for that reason. A diagnostic hysteroscopy is quite safe and shouldn't really be invasive unless your doctor continues to go to an operative hysterscopy after viewing the uterus. To avoid any type of infection, many doctors recommend an antibiotic before and after the surgery, but many members have not taken anything and there have been no complications.

I know that you have not been diagnosed yet for ashermans, but it would seem that because of your age and the signs of hot flashes and night sweats that you just might be getting menopausal, but it also is quite a coincidence that this should happen just after your surgery. I know that you have not been diagnosed yet for ashermans. Just recently, I met a girl of 34 who had large myomas and had to have them removed this summer. Because of both our common fertility problems (other than Ashermans), we got talking and she told me that she has not had a period since this surgery. I am planning on meeting her again to discuss her problem because I am suspecting Ashermans. Unfortunately, she does not have a computer, or does she speak English for me to let her join our group.
