I am new to this group but I still would like to wish everyone a very

happy and healthy New Year!

I wanted to re-post some of my concerns.I have only been with this group

a very short time, but it seems as though most of you are much younger

than me and desirous of pregnancy.

I am 50.I don't want a baby.I had 2 myomectomies and a UAE.The last myo

was in July. The UAE was in Oct/99 and the 1st myo was 20 years ago in

1982.

I wondered if there are any among you who are about my age and who feel

that they may have Ashermans as a result of a myomectomy? How common is

Ashermans after a myomectomy?

I would like to connect with someone my own age because I feel that

there are a lot of factors here, including being perimenopausal that may

be behind the very, very scant periods I have had since the surgery. For

10 months prior to surgery I was on Provera which also gave no

periods, except for what they refer to as " breakthrough bleeding " It is

very difficult to know where I am on the " continuum' so to speak.

Also could an MRI give some indication as to whether there is a

suspicion of Ashermans?Or is Ashermans always suspected strictly by the

clinical signs?

I would not like to undergo anything invasive of the uterus. The UAE gave

very serious complications with 2 hospitalizations and it may be

possible that there is still some form of healing, even though the last

myo was 6 months ago.I would not want to have a diagnostic that could

create other problems like endometritis.

Anyone out there who has Ashermans from a myomectomy?

Anyone out there my age?

Thanks

and again Happy New Year to one and all.

You seem to be a very supportive and kind group of women.

Best,

Bonnie
