Guest guest
, Thank you so much (and Janet also) for your informative response. Once again this group proves itself invaluable to me. I started the injectables last night. You are right, it is not Pergonal (I don't know why the doctor described it as such the first time he mentioned it to me - maybe he uses the word generically?). My prescription is for Gonal-F, and I use 2 powders to 1 water. I started last night, and didn't find it that bad at all. I am not a squeamish person, so my husband was very impressed with me when I poked that shot right into my belly! The needle is only 1/2 inch, I hardly felt it go in at all. I just need to get the hang of actually injecting the medication once I put the needle in. I appreciate your comparison to diabetics. I thought of this myself as my nephew is diabetic, and he is only 8 years old. I told myself that if he can do it, I can too! Janet - my doctor has not mentioned anything about Progesterone shots. I will ask him about this next week. Does everyone have these? I have to go back to the doctor on tuesday for another blood test/ultrasound. New years day! How will I get up at 7am!!! I have to be there between 7-9am to be monitored. I guess I'll hop back into bed after the appointment. Happy New Year to everyone!
