Connie,

You might want to get yourself a grabber. A grabber is one of those contraptions

that you can use to reach stuff on the floor, people that clean the roads use it

to pick up papers, cans, etc. I had 5 spinal surgeries and can't bend at all,

and I use the grabber to p/up stuff that is on the floor and I can't get. This

is going to help you bunches!

I got mine at Ace Hardware store, but you can get it at Walgreens or any other

pharmacy. Another thing, I had back issues and my MRI did not show the real

picture, once my Doctor performed a Discogram it was when everything that was

wrong came to light. So because an MRI doesn't show everything that is going on

it doesn't mean that you don't have issues with your lumbar or cervical spine.

Take care and I hope that you can get better.

having any diagnonsis?  I will go to the site you referred.  I read  many

postings with this group and I see you have great knowledge and care for

everyone.  Thanks so much!!  I have started a pain journal since i learned of it

from this group.

Go and look at the red book and blue book on the SSD website.

A diagnosis is necessary as well as certain criteria for that diagnosis.  If one

doesn't meet the criteria for one diagnosis but the severity of

multiple diagnosis adds up to the severity of one, disability will be granted.

I have 4 diagnosis that all qualify for SSD, however I met the severity level on

2 of the 4 and therefore was approved with the first application.  Its important

to read the red and blue book to see if you meet the qualifications.  Also,

order a social security statement.  As some people think they qualify for

credits, and they don't.

If you don't qualify for credits, you are wasting your time. I had always worked

part time.  When I first got a diagnosis I went to work full time because I knew

I wouldn't be able to work forever.  I made it 3 1/2 years which put me in a

much better financial position then if I would have stayed part time.
