7 week progress report from San

Well here I am at seven weeks post-op and I feel better than I have

ever felt. My right hip has about 90% of its strength back and I

have completely normal day to day walking abilities.

I attribute the success of my recovery to an extensive amount of long

stride walking on flat surfaces as well as up and down hills.

I have found that I have a new passion for mowing my yard with a push

mower,(my wife really likes this).

I had my first scary encounter while cleaning my garage the other

day. While trying to move a ladder I tripped over my son's bicycle

and was falling forward. Not thinking, I stepped out with my newly

surfed leg and caught my whole body weight on it. After all of the

fun was over, I had to pinch myself because I just knew that I had to

of messed something up. But I guess McMinn was right when he said my

hip was solid, it held like a champ!! But I have to admit it was

somewhat scary!!!

To anyone out there considering having this resurfacing procedure

done, I highly recommend it. It is life changing!!

I give thanks to GOD for taking care of me and as always, my

gratitude goes to Mr. McMinn and his Staff.

Just a note to my surfing partner : I hope you're doing great

guy, and say hello to your wife and family!
