Hi everyone,

I am the unfortunate person who needs a RNY revison,

I went to get preop stuff done today and saw my surgeon.

He told me there is a chance that if the area around my stomach/pouch/small

intestine is " one big ball of scar tissue " he may have to make a judgement

call as to whether to do the revision or not.

I just know that something like this will happen to me. I am now scared to

death that they will get in there and have to just sew me back up.

Please everyone pray for NO scar tissue on Nov. 8th.

Thanks for being there for me.

Darlene in Pa.

Hiya --

I'm in Baltimore (since July) and now almost 14 months post-op. land

post-op types don't seem to party together much (people up in

NYC/CT/northern NJ meet frequently). Do you ever get into Baltimore?

ask to be put on the cancellation list..I did and I am having my

operation march the 8th instead of May the 8th..Susie

> Unfortunately, Pacific Bariatrics is really really far behind on

scheduling surgeries now. The good news: I got my surgery date,

finally! The bad news: It's June 26! Yikes! Dr. Zorn told me 6-8

weeks from my surgical consultation, but Lori at PB said they were

running MUCH longer than that. June 26 is the *first* day Dr. Zorn

had open. I am stunned at the delay. It will have been 4-1/2 months

after my consultation! Sigh...

can make good use of my waiting time by PREPARING like crazy --

walking, protein, vitamins, water! Daily! No screwing up on this

one. The hard part is staying motivated for 3 more months when I

already feel like I've been waiting forever.

Thanks, Susie. I *did* ask, but Myra, the surgery scheduler, said everyone wants to be on the cancellation list, and there is "little to no chance" that I'll be moved up, so don't count on it. Is that just something they say so as not to disappoint? I told them I needed 10 days notice on changing the date. Should I not have said that? I mean, will that delay me even more? Because I *guess* I can do with a week's notice instead of 10 days.

Congratulations on being moved up!!!

first I should say its the 12 th I am having it..I have lost my mind

it the last couple of days :) tell them you can go on 24 hours

notice. they won't ask that of you I am sure, they gave me a four day

notice just enough time to get myself ready and have a small crying

attack :( I will be going down there on Tues Morning and having the

operation at 7:00 am on Wed.....
