Guest guest
Hey Gwen, Whew! I am glad you were only having intestinal cramping. I had these too throughout my pregnancy and they always worried me. I would self palpate my abdomen and figure out where the pain was coming from. The pain was always from my intestinal track and never my uterus. You can tell where your uterus is because it is much firmer than your intestines. At this point it will be down by your pubic area, it may not even have risen out of your pelvis yet, I think this happens at 3 months. The pain you have been having is definitely NOT uterine stretching...I think you know this now. But, for future reference the uterus cannot stretch when there is only a pin head size embryo in it. It is too small yet. Even when the uterus has a 8-10 week old embryo in it isn't big enough to have much stretching...certainly nothing you will be aware of. So, sit back and relax and enjoy your pregnancy and nausea!!!!!!! Yeah, I bet you never felt so happy feeling that feeling! Tell your dh he is quite the "man" and that he should take care of you! I am thrilled for you and I will anxiously await your good news as it unfolds for the next 9 months. Take good care.
Guest guest
Hi Gwen, I am really hoping that your beta's are still rising. Please tell us as soon as you know. You have helped me and so many others on this board that I really believe that your time will come soon. You are tired now, but you will gain strength soon. I am being optimistic for you Gwen, I know it's hard for you to do this right now, but I want you to know that I am doing it for you. You will have that baby in your arms Gwen, I know in time you will believe it too. At least you are getting pregnant easily and it will just take that right embryo and the right spot in your uterus to make it happen. I know you are wondering if the Ashermans is causing these problems...I wondered this same thing myself. But when I researched it the pathologist and the RE's all told me that blighted ovums are almost always genetic. And the fact that I had implantation was a good sign. I didn't believe them in my heart until I got pregnant twice in a row and the second one stuck. So, the fact that you had implantation is also a good sign. Ok, I am crossing all my fingers and toes that your little bean is strong. please take care of yourself, there are a lot of people rooting for you. Guest guest
Hi Gwen, Thanks for your well wishes! I hope you are right in that I will lose this 60 lbs when I chase two kids around! I have increased my weight by 1/3! To be honest, I am feeling guilty about having this baby when so many are still fighting the battle. I know I shouldn’t but it’s hard not too. I guess I am too sensitive because I have been there too. But, your time will come…. I know it in my heart. Then we will all look back and say that this has been the hardest struggle of our lives, but we won. On another note. I really hope you get a new job soon. Screw your boss for asking you to work more for less at this point in your life. If you were living here I would say to get yourself into a pharmaceutical legal position. These companies are stable and are usually hungry for corporate lawyers that can understand medicine and science and can figure out the FDA. You would be great at it! Anyway, good luck in your search! Well I hope your betas keep dropping. Can you tell me why betas can take so long to drop? The reason I ask is because I thought betas were a measure of the HCG that at first the corpus luteum makes and then the embryo/placenta. If your embryo or whatever that sac was, and your placenta are not viable and/or came out, then what is causing these betas to be so high this far out? I am just curious. I hope you don’t have to go to a D & C. But, you are right, if you do, then go to Valle. Just like I did when Indman did my D & C. Anyway, I hope you don’t go to that and your betas drop and that you start cycling soon and get back to normal. You will feel so much better when you don’t have this stuff making you feel pregnant anymore. Wow, do you have the stuff to write an Ashermans book or what? This has been such a roller coaster ride…argh. Take care and keep pampering yourself! LOL
