a,

Here's hoping that you're levels have now reached an all time low of ZERO. I

had a lap with my surgery so I didn't have to have levels checked, but I

remember how frustrating and scary it was to have to wait around to begin TTC

again or even just for ole AF to show up. But you got great news with your

biopsy and that can only mean things are going to start going your way. Hang

in there, it can only get better from here.

a,

Thank you so much for the welcome and the words of

encouragement. I am very happy to be here. I can't wait to hear all about you

ladies!! have a great day!

Dear a -

Welcome. I hope you find strength here. I have heard of other women

who've had ep after tubal reversal. Then again, there are many of us

here who are trying for our first child, and the odds are very heavy

NOT to have ep on the first pg, yet here we are...

I understand how scared you must feel. I had metho with my ep, so I

never ended up in the ER. However, I think with time you will find the

strength and desire to try again. You do have one open tube, and there

are many ladies on this list who have had a successful pg with one

tube.

I know I've written to you about this before but hopefully it helps to know

that others have played the waiting game.

I woke up one morning and finally AF had come. I was so excited. Two more

times and my dr said I could ttc. I was also going for what I thought would

be my last blood draw. The next day I had an appointment. The dr said your

number is 5 so you have to give blood again. I said I was surprised since AF

had come that day. He said, oh. Well, since your number is not completely

down you can't count this AF. You have to get your number to 0 and then wait

3 AFs to ttc. I couldn't believe it. I lost a tube, waited 2 months for my

numbers to drop, and now had to wait 4 months to ttc. It was a long time

waiting!

So, here's thinking of you!

Hi a,

I'm sorry you had to experience this, but welcome to the group, I'm sure you

will find the answers to your questions

I just read your second post, I also had a tube removed and was told I could

ttc again as soon as I felt ready, but then I got conflicting advice from

another dr. I'm not a medical expert, but personally I think you need to

give yourself time to grieve, and fully recover physically before throwing

yourself back on the emotional rollercoaster that ttc can be

My dr. said to wait three " good " cycles before ttc. I switched to and RE for

other reasons and he told me to go ahead and ttc whenever I was emotionally

ready.

Where are you going? I'm so jealous! I love to travel, but haven't done

much since my son was born (3 years ago). That's also when we moved back to

the States from Japan, so there hasn't been as much incentive. When we lived

there we thought, OK we've got 3 years to see as much of Japan and Asia as we

can, so we took advantage of it! Well, I hope it's someplace really exotic.

Hi a,

You might have joined this group after we had this

discussion, but a lot of us also had sacs spotted in

the uterus. Apparently, with eps there are often

groupings of fluid that look like real sacs (but are

not). That's why so many women start out thinking

they're having a normal pg, when it's really an ep.

They are called " pseudosacs. " I actually had 2 of

them with my ep, and they first told me I was having

twins. I still have the U/S picture of the two

buggers, side by side.

I'm also losing a friend over this whole ep. I've

been close with her since the 6th grade, but she's

been so completely unsupportive. Over the past year,

I had told her about my 3 early mcs and it seemed to

go in one ear and out the other. I told her about the

ep about 1 week after metho, and she said that her

coworker was currently in the hospital for the same

thing (so she does knows how devastating it is). This

was about 6 weeks ago and she hasn't even called me to

see how I'm doing. Actually, she did call me yesterday

to tell me she's coming in town this weekend, but I

didn't even answer the phone (she left a message and

didn't mention anything except her visit). Granted

she is busy with a 1-year old and a full-time job, but

I'm still disgusted at her insensitivity.

When one of my other friends had a D & C, I made a

conscious effort to call her everyday to see how she

was feeling. I tend to expect others to act how I

would, and get frustrated when they don't.

I find that everytime I have a crisis in life, I

realize who my true friends are. My father died when

I was only 27, and at that time, a different friend

was totally unsupportive. I haven't talked to her

since, and feel great about it. On the other hand,

during a crisis, there are lots of people who come out

of the woodwork with tons of support--people you

weren't even that close to. My thought with my

father's death and with this ep is that if your

friends can't be there for you during a crisis, then

why have them?
