Guest guest
I saw the recent post on Topamax and thought I would chime in. We are currently weaning Logan from Topamax. This is the last drug. We have weaned 75mg so far and have 75mg to go. I am amazed at the difference in him. His energy level is through the roof. He goes to bed a t midnight and is up at 6 am ready to go again. I will be glad when his body is able to level itself out. His appetite is improving and he doesn't balk at finishing everything. We haven't seen any signs of withdrawals (Yes I am knocking on wood) The last three drops we are going slow. We are doing 25mg every 2 weeks. We just celebrated his 7th month of being seizure-free. We are even now thinking about allowing him to play soccer in the fall. I would have just laughed at the idea a year ago. Take care, Kalii Mom to Logan 4 (ketokid since 07/01, seizure-free)and big brother Cody 8. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Kalli -- What a celebration!!! I know every kid is different, but I still rejoice everytime I hear of a child NOT on Topomax -- it was just such a devastating drug for us. And soccer, too. . . you have much to celebrate as Mother's Day nears!--D __________________________________________________
