Guest guest
This is interesting to me because its not something I have had to deal with... my stomach is large & I can keep up with nearly everyone in the eating department. I guess everyone gets used to this... how do others handle the " light " meals. Guest guest
Kathy, I agree with you, it's either age after we lost our weight or the effects our bodies took from the obesity we carried for so many years. I " ache " some days and have problems with a knee as well, and also a ligament at the back of my hip that has problems now and then. I use a chiropractor to get things right in these areas (except the knee), but I guess it's just old age setting in. > I hve some problems that I am trying to work on and they inhibit some of my > capacity to exercise. Guest guest
I am trying to fight it--Don't grow old gracefully--Well painful isn't graceful. Physical therapy for my knee-Doc already said I will probably have to have knee replacement surgery down the road--To much damage done already! I plan to put that off as long as possible. Now we shall start working on my back next week! Guest guest
Jang, no abnormalities that we are aware of.. jerry is 46 and im 33 he had a hectic life b4 i met him. and no telling what he did thru the 60's and early 70's.. as far as the last 15 yrs of marriage he has been a saint.. not a prob. so they diagnosed him with idiopathic chron. panc.. im wondering should he have an exploratory yet, i tell my gf here, that if they open him up and find something, whats the good? and if they find nothing we have done extra trauma.. guess flip a coin? Jerry is at the point now that he refuses to go to hosp. hes sooo over them.. so im now supposed to sit by and watch him slowly fade? and it will be slow.. he looses weight and then puts back on. but the stress on the body is something else.... Jang, where are you located again? was it in fla? hmm Verne is as well.. hes an hour away.. maybe well make a MINI stand at the Musc. LOL.. three pancreateers... right now b4 anything i have to see what jerry is willing to do.. he told me specifically no hosp anymore.. that if he goes in to shock again to let him be.. well that would be the end.. his bp was 90/40 last time.. well.. how depressing.. like we need this kind of thoughts.. thanks for reply;.. 80) celeste and jerry( aka mr. bojangles)

Guest guest
ia, Thanks for the welcome. I wish you well with the surgery--I would be feeling pretty nervous myself. GOOD LUCK. Was in the hospital just this past month with the ole pancreas problem. In regards to friends and family not calling or coming to visit--I know about that, but then again I also know that I myself fall short in that department. People live such fast paced lives these days. Speaking of friends--Anyone who has any info about LIFE PLUS SUPPLEMENTS please speak up. I am about to lose my very best friend over these blasted pills and powders. My friend just knows that she can cure my diabetes and pancreas problems with LIFE PLUS if I would just take all this stuff. My endo. Dr. says NO. but she refuses to listen. I have no intention of taking something that could wipe out this ole sick liver of mine. The whole situation has somewhat driven a wedge in our friendship and I would really like some more facts on the subject. She is a very sweet, sincere person who only wants to help me. HELP Best Wishes, Sondra

Guest guest
sondra, I think if she was truly your friend she would understand that your doc says no. and that you dont feel comfortable taking them. Sounds like she is putting a lot of pressure on your friendship over pills. ia
Guest guest
Don't think they can put Ultram through the pump...doesn't even come in IV form from what I know. As far as I know, the only drugs that go through the pump are Dilaudid, Fentanyl, and Morphine. They do work differently when they are going directly to the nerves, but they won't take a chance with me, especially with Fentanyl. My GI's have said absolutely not to the Dilaudid and Morphine......There are other drugs that they have put in the pumps, but those drugs are in the experimental stages, and I don't even think they are used for Pancreatitis....they are used specifically for Multiple Sclerosis, RSD, and other nerve disorders.
