Congrats. Remember I told you that I believed that you were pregnant. Take

care of yourself and keep me posted. When do you go for your next beta

test? I will be praying for you.

Angel,

Thanks sweetie. I go back to the doc Nov. 3. I hope that he will do a beta

before then. I will probably talk to his office tomorrow. I hope that you

are doing great. Take care.

Nora,

That is wonderful news sweetie. I just knew it. Only four days to go

until your appt. Are you having any repeat blood draws? Get on that phone

and demand them. Good luck.

Tara,

Thanks for posting dear. I tried to call my doc this morning and he hasn't

came in yet. I asked the nurse if I needed to get some prenatal vitamins

and she said he usually doesn't give them until you are 8-12 weeks. I

didn't think that sounded right to me. Needless to say I cried after

hearing that. I have been so emotional lately. Dh is about drove

crazy...LOL. How are you doing? I hope all is well with you. Take care

sweetie.

Nora,

I was on prenatals while ttc. My doc said I could use over the counter w/

folic acid. Folic acid is imp in the prevention of birth defects. Get on

the web and do some reasearch on a safe vitamin to take - or better yet,

forget what the nurse said and talk with that doc soon. Let us know

Hi Nora,

I'd recommend that you start taking folic acid . I had a look in the book

they gave me when I was pg with , they recommend that you take 400ug

of folic acid per day, while your ttc and up until week 12 of your pg, as it

reduces the risk of your baby developing spina bifida.I just looked at the

label on my tub, it says " helps maintain the normal development of the

neural tube " . I've been taking folic acid for years!! I buy mine at the

supermarket it costs me £1.10 for 60 tablets. I hope that helps, do ask if

you've any other questions or worries about your pg, I can just about

remember what it was like, 's five now!!!

Nora,

You're on the right track taking the folic acid. And Thurs is only 2 days

away now. I know it is painful. It was the hardest time in my life,

that's for sure. I'm doing just great - fighting a terrible cold - YUCK,

Tara,

I am sorry to hear that you have a cold. As a matter of fact I am coming

down with something myself. I have been sneezing and coughing and blowing

my nose since yesterday. I am having a hard time getting any good quality

of sleep. I am tossing and turning and waking up at odd hours of the night.

Did you have that when you were first pg? I feel so groggy all day. I take

a short nap in the evenings usually and that is what keeps me going. I am

very nervous about the beta being drawn Thursday. I am so scared that it

won't be a good number. As long as I don't see blood I won't freak. I have

been running to the bathroom every 5 minutes it seems to check for it. I

hope that you will be getting better soon. Take care.

Nora,

I know the cold season is upon us for sure. Everyone in my house has had

it in one form or another.

Early in my pg I would wake up once or twice a night to pee, I just

couldn't hold it. It has gotten a lot better, tho I expect it to return in

the next couple of weeks. And for the first 3 mos, I was always running to

the bathroom to check for blood. Relax hon, the odds are with you.

Tara,

Thanks for writing back. I guess I was bragging too much. I have started

to spot now. I am so disappointed. I am just trying to breathe now. I

hope that you are doing great. Take care.

Pam,

I did see my doc today. An hour after the first spot. They are doing

another beta and progestrone test. I can pick up my results at 7pm at the

hospital but my dh wants me to wait until I see him Friday. I don't know

what to do. I hope that you are doing great. Take care.

Nora

I think you should pick up the results tonight. If low progeterone is

causing your spotting you need to start on supplements right away.

Did you dr seem concerned?

Pam,

He is concerned but said there is just so much that he can do right now

until he knows more about what is going on. I hope that my dh will let me

go and get the results tonight. If they don't look right I will go to the

er. Then they will have to go something. Please take care and have a great

day.
