We are doing it at home, no fasting, full diet. started showing ketones the first day, now we are in the moderate range. He has always had problems with constipation, but the rich formula (KetoCal) is going right through him, not watery. He had a significant decrease in seizures and seizure duration yesterday He doesn't feel great, but he's not terribly grumpy either. His blood sugar has been steady dropping. This am it was 50, he's a little clammy and his heart rate it slightly elevated, but I think the tummy working so hard could do that too. I am testing every 4-5 hours. Does the glucose start coming back up after the body adjusts to the diet? If yes, is there an expected time frame? Thanks for all the help with the scale.
