It sounds like a disclaimer so they can't be sued when there's no ANI/ALI from their customers. I hope they also mention that their phone wont work during a blackout/power failure unless they have a UPS or battery backup on their modems, unlike conventional Baby Bell's. Raffa Supv. My hair resembles that of brown-haired Bozo the Clown. I dumped my leisure suit when I switched from PF Flyers to Converse. I'm always a little behind the times (or living in the past if you wish.) I switched from DOS 6.2 to Win 3.1 after the relaese of Win 95. My PC has a 10GB hard drive (of which I use only half) and you can't buy them that small anymore. The cell phone I used until last year(sson CH-388 with the Omnipoint brand name) did't accept downloads. Since most of the people customize their ringers I have found that using the factory default ring is perfectly fine. There's no question in a crowded room as to whose phone is ringing. That's me. Guest guest
Weintraut, I know that you and Ed would get along very well.....I am married to a man who wants the doorbell to scream " SOMEONE'S AT THE DOOR! " and loves to have Rod Serling or Leonard Nimoy on the answering machine. But it was nice to come home to someone semi-normal after dispatching on a Saturday night with a full moon. (Let the general public scoff, but anyone in Emergency Service KNOWS the rumors about the full moon are true.) Lyn Subject: RE: 911:: Uh, oh! > >The sound of a 1950's round-dial phone ringing. " is not actually stated by the narrator, is flashed very briefly as a subtitle on the screen and in a font smaller than that used by a Japaneese rice artist. How in the world ANYONE can actually read and understand it is beyond me.
