I just wanted to welcome you here and tell you that we can all relate to how you are feeling. Ask us any questions you have and we will try to help you find answers.

Have you considered going to see an A list doctor for a second opinion? It might be a good idea at this point. If there is plenty of endometrium left as your ob said, then you need a specialist to be able to remove the scarring without causing more damage to the remaining lining. Have you ever had an ultrasound, or is that how you know that you have 2mm lining left?

The questions to ask your doctor when you see him/her are:

What is the severity of your ashermans?

What area of your uterus is affected? Is your cervix shut too?

Do you have an open cavity?

Is your lining continuous and all around the uterus or is it in islets?

These are just some of the questions you could ask but some or most of them will only be confirmed after a hysteroscopy.

Regarding the gestational carrier. We have a couple of members who are thinking about it. I haven't heard from them lately as to where they are at this point, but another member recently managed to use her sister as a gestational carrier and successfully got pregnant. Sadly, she lost the baby a few weeks into her pregnancy. I can only imagine the stress of it all. There are a lot of things to consider for surrogacy and I think it is a very personal decision. I have had many thoughts about this and came to the conclusion that I could not do it myself.
