Guest guest
Becky, What results did you get after your HSG 2 weeks ago? I think you wrote in your profile that your scarring is at the top part of your uterus and that you are getting a monthly period but old blood, is that right? You live in the USA so is it not possible to go to an A list doctor to get another opinion before your surgery in June? Seems like a long time to wait for this surgery. An A list doctor will use microsissors to remove your scarring. This seems to be the best method of treatment for removing scarring. Now, whether they need to use a barrier will depend a lot on what your cavity is like. I mean, if the walls of your uterus seems to stick together because of adhesions, then they will use a barrier to hold the walls apart while they heal, otherwise you will not need one. After the surgery, you will be put on hormones, estrogen and progesterone to help build your lining up and get a period. This method of treatment is usually for a month but some doctors put you on for longer, maybe 3 months. This also depends on your severity. Hope this helps a little.
