Guest guest
Hello everyone I have read up on all the new posts for the last week. I wish I had a magic wand to fix all of the problems or to at least make the problems easier to deal with. I went to my surgeon today, he finally removed my three JP drains. WOW>>> I have had these drains before, a few times after some of my surgeries but this time was by far the worse. I have fluid built up again between my abdmonal wall and my new mesh so I still had the need for the drains. Today my doctor said well they may need to be in a little longer but they have been in longer then I like to leave them in, so we really need to pull them. PULL he did - my body had decided that they were supposed to be a part of my so the drain tubes had grown into my tissue. Need I say more. I think that was almost by far one of the most painful things I have ever had to endure. My doctor was as gental and caring as he could be, but had to be forceful to get them out. I am now sore again all over. It hurts again to just take a deep breath, and the pain meds just don't even begin to take the edge off. I just hope and pray that it did not mess up my mesh when he pulled them out. I go back again in two weeks unless I have to go again sooner. Also wanted to share with you that my wonderful brother in law passed away October 28th, he had a long battle of brain cancer. He did pass very peacefully, He is no longer in pain. Hope everyone has a good rest of the week. I am thankful that we have each other to rely on. Carolyn N
