Guest guest
Caroline: We have all used Syclovir in my family. It did not keep yeast at bay, however, for my son. Also, when I was recently reading some information on Syclovir again, it said that it should NOT be given at the same time of any other suppliment. When I asked about this, it was explained to me that it could strip the nutrients of the other suppliments that are given at the same time. It should be given several hours between anything else. Personally, I have used it for cystitis and it worked beautifully. My son is chelating and we fight yeast on a continuing basis. Good luck, Betsy
Guest guest
Many of us take calcium with Vitamin D to replace the calcium that is leached from our bones when we take Prednisone. My GI and GP advised me very strongly to do so. I haven't asked my GI about whether magnesium was safe for people with AIH. Last week, my gynecologist asked if I was remembering to take it every day. I asked her if magnesium mattered. She said she didn't think magnesium was very important. I didn't ask her if magnesium was safe for people with liver problems. Remember that green, leafy vegetables provide calcium, and weight-bearing exercise strengthens bones. My 10 year old son has been casein free now for almost 2 years and i am having a hard time getting calcuim into him. Is the magnesium processed through the liver? Thanks,Jayne in NH
