Good Morning. I would like to submit this as a posting on sList.

Since this is my first time, I am not sure if I am following the proper protocol.

Please advise me if this is not the correct way to submit.

Sincerely,

Michele Pisano

Making Friends Summer Camp Program (funded by The Children`s Trust)

The Making Friends Summer Camp Program is designed for children who are not able to meet the demands of typical summer camps. The program runs from June 22, 2009 through August 14, 2009. This program provides an educational and creative environment for children with special needs. The focus of our camp is on development of social skills, interpersonal relationships and personal independence. These skills are developed through a variety of creative and educational activities. Funding is generously provided by The Children`s Trust of Miami Dade County, Florida. Only Miami Dade County residents are eliglble for this particular Summer Camp Program. We are currently accepting 11 children with autism and related disabilities with inclusion of 5 children from the general population. Services are provided in a 2:1 student/teacher ratio.

Summer After School Care (Monday through Thursday 2:30 to 6:00 PM & Friday 2:30 TO 5:30 pm)

The After School Care Program is an eight-week program provided during our Summer Program. The program runs from June 22, 2009 through August 14, 2009. The children benefit from a continued one to one student to teacher ratio in order to tend to their individual needs. The students of The Victory School enjoy a number of different activities that challenge them, as well as, peak their interests. Along with art projects, the kids learn certain aspects of outdoor and indoor games such as baseball, basketball, flag football, soccer, and even cooking. We also take field trips to local libraries, bookstores and to the local ice cream parlor.
