Guest guest
Sandy It was a main reason why I did the surgery. My teeth in the back were so worn down (they said I had the molars of a 70 year!) and then I started clenching and grinding during the day which brought on the worst headaches and sinus problems. Your surgeon was probably right about why you were grinding. See I had a horrible Ortho the 1st time I had braces (when I was a pre-teen) who had the great idea that I should move my lower jaw out myself which really messed me up, and the grinding was my way of trying to subconciously reposition my jaws in the right position like yourself. It took me a long time post surgery to stop the feeling of having to move my lower jaw out myself. Glad to hear you are no longer grinding either. I was so bad I had all those stupid night gards and would wake up with them thrown across the room. I used to wake up all my roomates and would find stuff animals that they would throw at me during the night in bed with me in the morning! So bizzare! > Mouse, > I read that you're not grinding since surgery. Was that part of the > reason that you had it? I was also a grinder pre-surgery, but no > sign of that since-over 6 months later.
