Guest guest
Dear listmates, I give my 4 years old son oregano oil - 2 drops every day, and it seems to help greatly to keep yeast under control. I worry if I am giving him too much. I was searching the internet, most of sources say that oregano oil is not toxic, but couple of webpages suggest that it is toxic. Does anybody know? I want to understand if it is OK to give it to him often or it is better to use it only during chelation days. Thank you, Margaret
Guest guest
A form of oregano oil is supplied by a product known as ADP, a trade name for a standardized oregano extract which is emulsified and processed in a sustained release tablet form. I have used it on myself as part of a helicobactor disbiosis protocol with good effect. It is produced in the US by Biotics Research Corporation located in Rosenberg, Texas. It is a very pleasant form of oregano oil to take by mouth, and I would think it easier on a young child than straight oregano oil! Hans-Jurgen Schwartz, DDS [ ] Is it safe to use oregano oil long-term? Need advice Dear listmates, I give my 4 years old son oregano oil - 2 drops every day, and it seems to help greatly to keep yeast under control. I worry if I am giving him too much. Guest guest
Hi, Yes, it can be toxic, all medicines, everything that has an effect is toxic at some dose. And for many of our kids, that dose is more unpredictable than with, say, a healthy adult. And seems to vary from day to day. But two drops is really a pretty tiny amount. I've taken many dropperfuls a day when I feel something coming on.
