Guest guest Posted July 18, 2001 Report Share Posted July 18, 2001 Yes, we're dealing with the same surgeon, Dr. De Smet, who is working as main specialist in Hip surgery at the department of Prof. Dr. Verdonk, chairman of the Belgian Association of Orthopaedic and Traumatologic(?) Surgeons. As I understood from Richie, their are app. 12 surgeons in Belgium doing resurfacing. In a recent medical article (published in the Belgian Orthopaedic Forum), DeSmet and Verdonk motivated their preference for young and active patients to use either M/M BHR resurfacing or cementless Ceramic/Ceramic components with exchangeable neck for THR cases. , 7/3/01 BHR, DeSmet > Re: About Belgian BHR > > > Cool ...
