I have a similar child, but I'm not sure why. I don't think it has

anything to do with hearing loss, but I could be wrong.

This is just a possibility, but the book about sensory integration disorder

mentions that some SI kids crave these sensations and can seem quite unaffected

by them. I loaned my copy of Out-of-Sync child out, but I believe that would

be a hyposensitive vestibular sense. An occupational therapist could identify

that.

Funny thing, my son has had the vertiago attacks, but doesn't get dizzy other

times. Loves spinning in circles, the tube swing at the park, etc. Makes me

sick, but he's just fine and dandy. Go figure. We chuckle when someone thinks

he has general dizziness, when it is actually more episodic. There are so

many causes for hearing loss or the dizziness. Who knows?
