,

Many things can trigger an itching episode. For , its stress. For

others, it may be diet, too much fat intake. I never could pinpoint what

caused me to itch. I remember going in for clinic, about 3 months prior to

tx when my itching was driving me crazy, and all my numbers were slightly

elevated, but nothing extreme - less than 10%. They decided to try

Rifampin and that did wonders. Ultraviolet light like a tanning bed has

helped several people. Obvious caution should be observed because of your

current meds. Wear lighter clothing. I would suggest looking at your

diet first. I'll refrain from asking if your under stress...I think I

know the answer :-). Definitely report it to your dr. The more he knows

the better. He'll probably suggest some lab work if none has been taken

recently.

As for type O. You may have a longer wait than most but so much depends on

where you live and the livers available. Atlanta is a very large city so

your chances may be greater. I look on the support website, I think I

rcall that Arne posted the breakdown of bloodtypes and their percentages.

One thing is for sure, don't let that sidetrack you and consume you. Once

your on the list, and near the top, beeper in hand, then you can worry.
