Guest guest
Dear All; Ricky Safer received the message (below) today from Marcy Crees of Dr. Gershwin's group. Because Ricky will be going out of town tomorrow, and is extremely busy with last minute travel preparations, she asked me to post this message on the PSC support group message board. I will send a separate message to Marcy to let her know that I have posted her message. I will try to explain to Marcy the difference between the LiverSupport group and our group, and ask that if she has future messages to post, to please contact Ricky or myself. I don't believe that Marcy can post directly to our message board, unless of course she became a member. Best regards, (father of (19); PSC 07/03; UC 08/03) ________________________________________________ Ricky, I just posted a message to web address, but I am not sure if it is the same one that you organize. It is LiverSupport_L Joanne Cathcart. If you run a different site, please let me know how to post messages to it. Below is a message that I would like posted. Hello everyone, I am Dr. M. Gershwin's research coordinator in his PBC research lab at the University of California at . Dr. Gershwin and I have been holding informative PBC/PSC/AIH meetings around the western part of the USA for people with auto immune liver diseases. At the meetings, Dr. Gershwin speaks about the current research we are conducting in the lab and he has a questions and answers session as well. I collect blood samples from anyone who is willing. The blood needs to be very fresh, so we fly it back to the lab immediately following the meeting. We have gotten a very positive response from people who attended previous meetings. The meeting will be at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ Sunday, January 30, 2005 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Sandstone Conference center off the main lobby. The address is 1111 E. McDowell Rd. Please forward this message on to anyone else that you know with PBC. The more people that are able to come the faster our research progresses. Also, if you have a female friend or a sister that is close in age or a daughter, ask them to come to the meeting and donate a blood sample as a control. Please let me know if you will be able to attend on Sunday, January 30. It is very important that you RSVP. We need to make sure there will be at least 20 people there with PBC/PSC/AIH to be able to hold the meeting.
