Hi-I'm scheduled for 12/12. What should I be doing

now?

I treated myself and bought a cute little dual

Cuisinart blender/food processor, have laid in 2

cartons of chicken soup broth, my mother bought me a

great bathrobe from Lord and and my husband has

the day off. I bought some SF CIB, but my daughter

liked it so much, I need to get some more. What other

staples should I have? I have decided that I will not

blend meat and rely more on eggs and milk for protein.

My Christmas shopping is DONE thanks to

Deal-Finder.com.

I feel as if there MUST be more to do!

Counting down until the 12th

Lynn

Hi Lynn,

Get some SF Popsicles, crystal light or any other SF types of drinks, SF

vitamins if your Dr. requires them (Flintstones are common), bouillon to

help with " dizzies " , and egg beaters, SF pudding mixes (not pistacio..too

many nuts). You may want to have some Lactaid on hand as some people become

a bit lactose intolerant, especially in the beginning. I too found that my

personal own hygiene items were helpful when in the hospital, some fresh

smelling body spray, hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, your own pillow if

you're picky, and even a fan if you could...some med's cause the sweats.

Also some oversized jammies, or wear the johnnies they provide.

If I think of anything else, I'll post them!!! Best of luck to you! I

probably won't be able to wish you a personal good luck wish as I'll be on

my honeymoon then, so BEST OF LUCK sweetie!!!

Lynn,

I am going to let the postoppers answer your question. All I have to say

is if I am doing a countdown until my surgery, you should definitely do one.

Good luck on the 12th. Sally

Hi Lynne,

I am 7 days pre-op. My cabinet (and I assigned one cabinet as mine, death to

anyone who eats from it!] consists of cream soups - 's tomatoe and

chicken, chicken bullion, sf cib [4 boxes], sf/ff puddings and jello,

Splenda, oatmeal, sf applesauce, crystal light Flinstones complete vitamins,

SF Tums w/calcium, Childrens chewable tylnenol [yuk]. In the fridge I have

sf/ff yougurt and cottage cheese, water & lots of 1% milk [i hate skim].

Hope this helps,

joni - Dr. Thayer 11/27/00
