A Few Words on Stress

Hi, everyone.

I am aware that I have a very high stess life these days. A whole lot

of stuff that I don't care to discuss here. Don't like it, want to

simplify it, but it's not that easy right now. (Not asking for

advice - just making an observation.)

Probably many of you know this, but I was reminded big time yesterday

of how Stress affects my CMT. After having gone through a

particularly stressful morning, I had to go out for a while to do

some necessary shopping. When at the mall, I noticed I was leaning on

my cane much more than usual, and that my legs were absolutely

rubbery! It wasn't the kind of rubbery that one gets in a terror

situation, like a near-miss on the highway or similar. It was just

like my legs would not hold me up. I felt like I was just barely

making it around the store without collapsing.

I know for absolutely certain that that was nothing but a stress

manifestation! There was nothing else going on that could have caused

it. Today I'm a whole lot better, and walking in my usual abnormal-

normal manner!

It was an eye-opener! While I was driving home, I thought mightily

about the experience, as in " What can I do? " While some of the

stresses are not going to go away right now, there are some things I

can do and did do yesterday and continuing today. Small things. But

the small things add up, bit by bit, so my serenity level is ever so

much greater today.

Just wanted to share that with you. If it helps, great.

Regards to all, Carolyn
