Guest guest
Sue, Ask any questions you want! You'll meet with the nutritionist and counselor, just to chat, really, and then with Dr. Thayer. He may seemed busy or rushed, but make sure he answers ALL of your questions. Be tough with him. He's a great guy. I don't recall a physical exam... I think he may have pushed around my tummy, but that's it. - AA Sue wrote: > > I have my first appointment with Dr. Thayer tomorrow and I was hoping > someone could give me a run-down of what happens during these three > hours. Guest guest
Sue, I remember first I saw , the shrink. Then Thayer and after we talked about what I could expect from this whole thing and I was finished asking all my questions we went into the examing room for a quick exam, I did put a johny on. He basically just push around on my tummy also and wanted to see my appendices scar. Oh ya, I saw Sue also to talk about food. I can't remember if she was before Thayer or not, but I did see first. Then a little movie on the tv in the waiting room. Good luck, make a list of questions so you don't forget them. Pam Oct 12,99 Dr. Thayer 320/188/? Doesn't much matter anymore. Guest guest
Sue and Alice, He just pushed around my tummy also and also looked at where my previous war scars are and how they or adhesions below might interfere with what he is going to do. No big deal. Kept my pants on, just put on a nice LARGE johnny for the quick check. I asked him to send some of those johnnies to my gastroenterologist now three floors for his future exams on me. He has the tiniest ones, and I really feel fat and COLD. Relax. The people there are very nice. If you hit it right, the waiting room turns into a mini support group. Join in with questions. Guest guest
Thankyou Everybody For being on this list and answering my questions about Dr. Thayer. I had my first appointment today and of course, all of you were right. That whole place is great! And the waiting room is like a support group. I met people from this list (Hi Patty), and Bill with his record-breaking weight loss. My surgery will probably be in February and I can't wait! Guest guest
Sue, Glad you came away with a good feeling about Dr. Thayer/Reines' office. I know I did several months back. Now I have a little over a month to wait before my surgery. I will have to do a countdown like Joni did. I have been waiting a long time for this. Isn't the atmosphere in the waiting room encouraging? Sally Sue wrote: > Thankyou Everybody > > For being on this list and answering my questions about Dr. Thayer.
