Guest guest
Michele, This is just hanging on. Poor sweetie. Just a thought, or yet another bit of advice, bosssy aren't I! Why don't you write all the facts down. Start from the beginning, before christmas, to now. I usually make it into a data base. -Day (time) Symptom, medication, food, other, result... Maybe there is a pattern to help you figure it out. That is even how we found some medications that do not work for Patty. I would bet that she got the phneumonia when she was vomiting so severly. And then how's your house? My guess is it is incredibly tidy. But with this weather sometimes germs just don't go away. That is true especially if the house is totally insulated. That keeps you warm but it keeps the germs in. Cleaning things with lysol or bleach are the only things that totally kill germs. I am even a door knob cleaner when people are sick around here. And what about school. I forget the time, I think it is 10 school days, but when a student is absent for more than a specific time you are able to get a tutor for her. Doesn't she have a 1 on 1? And you can get a tutor for her also when she gets back so she can make up the work. You probably know all this. I am just concerned about that little one. Tell her we said hi and give her hugs and kisses from us. Take care, Bonnie

Guest guest
Bonnie- Bossy?? I don't think so. I always appreciate the thoughtful advice. I've done the database thing before -- but it hasn't been needed since she was an infant. I really think it's just been a weird winter, but if she isn't better by the end of this week, I'll be on top of it. I feel much more comfortable now that we've seen the regular pediatrician. She is very cautious when it comes to Aubrie so I trust her to be sure everything's ok. The cleaning part I will take your advice on. I am not a tidy person, but we are clean -- just cluttered. A few sprays of Lysol and some wiping would never hurt though. When she was in the vomiting thing, we had a few very nice days where I could actually open the window and air out the house. That was nice! We've been keeping up with school work pretty well. Her aid will help her catch up on any missed instruction and some longer projects when she returns. I think she'll do fine. It's been fun watching her do her school work. She's such a little smartie pants. But then sometimes she'll just stop and think she doesn't know -- til I tell her that the answer is always inside her -- she just has to look back in the corners of her brain til she finds it. Then she figures it out -- and -- whalla! It was there all the time! So cute! Thanks for all the good thoughts. It makes me feel much less frustrated being cooped up in the house when at least I still have ongoing conversations with you guys. How's school going for Patty?? I am so proud of her and so excited for her to be starting this new stage in life! Michele W >
Guest guest
Patty- I hope things continue to be good. Keep up on your work and enjoy the new friendships you'll develop. Youth is such a great time -- enjoy every minute (while keeping your focus, of course!). Hugs- Michele W >
