Guest guest
So the dreaded transition IEP is scheduled for March 26th. And I have not heard good things about the new team I have to deal with going forward. I have yet to get the guy at the new school to even return any of the 5 messages I've left for him in the past two months. Patty has a progressive moderate-severe loss on her worse side, mild-moderate in the other. She currently uses an FM system with the Claro aids, and gets two hours a week with a TOD who works with her specifically on speachreading, language processing (she also has mild CAPD) and math word problems. Patty has met (or almost met) about half of her IEP goals, but is way behind in others. She barely keeps up in standardized testing with the assistance she is getting, so I'm definitely holding my ground on continuing the services she gets. My questions are this: 1) Is there anything I can cite that says they can't take away the services she is currently getting? 2) What services (if any) might Patty need additionally she is already receiving since she is moving from elementary school into middle school? Thanks, Sheri
