Guest guest
Hi everyone! Karyn, I think you're absolutely right about a support group. At one time I was in a group as part of a pain management program. Unfortunate- ly, most of the people had back pain. Those of us with a different cause of pain had difficulty fitting in well with the majority. This on-line group is really a delight. Except for my children who had brief experiences with pancreatitis, I feel no one really appreciates the impact this disease has had on my life! Its hard for others to truly understand how pain, or the fear of pain, can take over so much of your life. I have found yoga to be about the only exercise I can routinely turn to. If I'm having a really bad day, all exercise is impossibe, but the breathing & meditation are usually possible. I have found it a great crutch in stress reduction. The breathing techniques help relax the muscles other than abdominal (maybe like Lamaze?) during episodes of pain. Has anyone else tried this or had success with another form of exercise? jang
