Wow, what a 2 months it has been. Isn't it crazy, the stuff we go through in

that initial 2 months. The last 2 weeks have been the easiest of the whole

the journey so far. For those who want to read my earlier entries, you can

click on the links below and they will take you there. It is a fairly

accurate accounting of my journey from pre-op and approval to today :) I

have not got the words to describe how I feel today as opposed to 2 months

ago. First I am *drum roll* 43 pounds light, yep you heard me.....43 pounds

gone from my life, that I don't miss at all. Second, I am fitting into

clothes that haven't fit me for 5 years. Third, I feel like I have gotten

back in touch with myself, something I know that has been missing. I was

reading some journals I found last night, all the way back to 1999 and it is

amazing how often I said I was going to get my weight under control. You

could tell when I would lose my battle because my journaling (or as I call

it conversation with myself) would either refocus on some guy or just drop

off. The most telling was I had a journal I called conversation with God

that I just quit writing in and I picked it back up last night. To say this

has affected me in every aspect of my life would be an understatement. I

won't tell you it has all been easy, it has not. There were days where I was

like, what did I do. Speaking to most post-ops that is pretty normal. There

are days I have to make myself do the right thing, take my vitamins, take my

calcium, and get in my protein. There are still days I wish I could have a

hamburger, but those times pass, and I have noticed don't get me down like

they used too. So I want to thank my Dr...Dr D, you are great :) I want to

thank his staff, which is amazing; the after care is really what is making

this journey amazing. I want to thank my parents, who made this journey

possible and supported me all the way. I want to thank my online support

groups...ya'll are amazing :) I want to think all the people at BSC Dallas,

it is the other post-op patients that give me inspiration (both pre and

post, because one reminds me and the other inspires me). Most of all thank

you God for both giving me the courage to go through with it and the

guidance and patience as my post-op journey as begun. See ya'll next time :)
